Troubleshooting Window Installation – Washington, DC The biggest problem with window installation is not getting the correct fit. If the window installation is not correct it will lead to a variety of problems. Most people install new windows to help with home energy efficiency. A window that does not fit properly will have air leaks and not be energy efficient at all. There is no use in buying expensive energy efficient windows if the installation is not correct. Another issue with improper installation is that it can lead to the window not functioning properly. It may not close all the way or it may get stuck when open. This can lead to a lot of frustration. Something else to consider is the appearance of the area around the window. Installing a window requires being able to do so without causing a lot of damage to the areas surrounding the windows. Damage to outside siding can be costly to repair and are quite possible a result of poor window installation.
